The Problem

While Dell has always prioritized its sales of consumer products like Laptops, Monitors, and Desktop PCs, it had long deprioritized online sales of Infrastructure products: Servers, Storage and Networking.

In 2021, I was hired to lead and grow a team that would shift the infrastructure sales process from largely offline to an online, digital-first experience, for dell.com and Dell’s authenticated B2B sales tool, Premier.  

My Role

I created, lead and grew a new design organization centered around the e-commerce experience for b2b customers, especially for infrastructure projects.

I hired, trained and managed over 11 designers in 4 countries and 8 time zones working on all aspects of the site experience

Creating a Vision

I was charged with creating the end-to-end user vision for all infrastructure products on dell.com

The new Dell Infrastructure

Because of the vision work, we were able to spin up 11 product teams on different flexible comonents that could be used throughout the dell.com system.
